Tight Rope Walk

Sunday was Boy Scout Sunday at our church. They participated in the worship service. They also built a huge tight rope walk that kids were allowed to walk on.
I did not have much hesitation about Grady doing the walk. After all - he is a tall 5 year old. I knew he could do it. (I did secretly pray that he would not get scared and start crying in front of all the boys though. I think that is just what mothers do.)
However, I was really nervous about Amelia doing it. And she was adamant that she was going to do it.
So - we let them.
Grady completed the whole course all by himself and I could not be more proud.
Amelia completed half of the course and I could not be more proud as well. She was very brave the entire time and the main reason she only completed half was because I convinced her to come down. (she was holding up some very anxious boy scouts)
Here is the proof:

Way to go!! I did not attempt in my heels but as we left, a mother did get on it.
By the time we were driving home from lunch, the whole thing was down and gone.
What a lot of work! Way to go Boy Scouts. I can only hope that Grady will be interested in joining a great group of boys.
